4 Month Fun with Miss P

P just turned 5 months old on the 24th. Seriously?!
Time is FLYING!!!
I can not believe how much she changes everyday and how her little personality is shining through more and more.
Here is a recap of P’s 4th month.
Like every month, on her 4 month birthday we had to do a little photo shoot.
At the beginning of the month she was ALL out doing the pouty lips!
And when she does it, she breaths really loud through her nose… goof ball!

Play time can be tiring you know!
Mid month, P got her new big exersaucer to play with. She loves it but is still getting the hang of it all.
She has discovered her feet and is SOOO fascinated by them! They are the coolest thing ever!
Here are some pictures from my phone…
-Resting during play time.
-Covering her eyes with Ruby the Wubbanub during naptime.
– Just looking cute.
-Chewing on my finger while I file her claws, I mean nails.
-Exersaucer fun
-Such a big girl- she holds her own bottle now! 🙁
-Looking all cute in her pumpkin outfit
-Playing with momma
-And tuckered out after doing some shopping.
Month 5 has been fun already so I know there is much more exciting things ahead for both of us.

Monogram Plaque

Do you remember my monogram plaque from my gallery wall reveal last week?

I didn’t want ALL frames on my wall and wanted some form of a monogram for our last name and this idea came to mind.
It is such a simple project and doesn’t take much time at all either. It is similar to how I created the Stenciled Initial Cavases for P’s room.
Here is the how to:
 Supplies:
-Wooden Plaque
– Wood letter
-Stencil
-Paint

Paint the wooden plaque the color of your choosing.
I just put one coat of white on it and didn’t mind if it wasn’t a solid coat.
I then took my stencil and placed it every so often around my plaque.
I did one whole stencil then let the stencil hang off the edge so only half the stencil was left on the plaque.
While my plaque was drying, I painted my wooden letter gray.
Once my stencil paint was dry, I took out some of my Stickles in yellow and put it on all the petals for a little glitter and added texture.
It was just what it needed.
I then just glued the wooden M to the plaque and BAM… it’s done!
Hung it up on the wall using Command Picture Hanging Strips and it fit right in!

Gallery Wall Reveal

In our family room area there was a slightly awkward wall that I wasn’t sure what to do with. There is a window on this wall and with the way our furniture is set up, there was an empty wall over our loveseat but not centered over the loveseat, next to the window. I totally forgot to take a picture of the wall blank before I started and in all of my pictures I can’t find a good one where you can see the wall… all well!
Anyways, I finally decided that a gallery wall would be perfect to put here so I started gathering frames, made a couple things and finally got it all up this weekend.
I love how it came out! 🙂
Here is a little closer look at it and how I created it.

I started by laying everything out on the floor and played around with the layout.
I then traced each item with craft paper just like I did when I created my plate wall and labeled each piece.
I hung them up like my layout on the floor and adjusted them slightly as I went.
I then just took down the corresponding piece of paper when it came time to hang that actual item leaving the rest up so I was placing everything right where I wanted it.
Super Simple!
Here is a closer shot of the left side.
I hung a large newborn picture of P in a frame I found at Michael’s.
My special dates printable all framed in a frame I found at Hobby Lobby.
The empty yellow frame is from Michael’s and I just painted it yellow.
Then the two other frames I already had.
I love how my printable looks in this frame! 🙂
Here is the center section of my wall.
My dad made the “Home is where the Army sends us” sign.
The yellow frame is also from Hobby Lobby. It was actually a darker yellow that I repainted.
I created the monogram plaque.
I framed a print in a frame I found at World Market.
And the other two frames were new frames I found at Michael’s and Hobby Lobby.
Here is an up close shot of the sign my dad made for us.
Each star has the state, name of base, and years we were there on them.
I added little pink feet to the one for our current station, Fort Carson, to indicate that P was born here.
I made this monogram plaque.
Super simple and will be sharing a tutorial for it soon!
I’ve had this print for some time now and am so happy to finally have it framed and up!
I LOVE this frame from World Market as well!
Far left side:
I hung two frames I already had and then hung my new Chevron Frame, which I LOVE, from Home Studios.
I snagged the chevron frame from Very Jane when they were having a deal and also bought a gray one for P’s room.
I love how my wall came out and am so glad to have it complete!
Now I just need to add pictures to the empty frames and replace all the old pictures in the other small frames!

Fall Fever… My Fall Decor

Thought I would share my fall decor today.
It isn’t too much. I don’t really go over the top with the fact that we move so often and I have to store everything but here is what I did put out.
I sure do wish I had a mantle to decorate though!
I’ll start outside:
I just put out my new Halloween flag.
I thought it was cute and not TOO Halloweeny.
I have another flag that I put out for just fall that is our monogram with a red berry wreath on it.
I bought some hay bales, mums, pumpkins and some pansies and made a little fall setup on my porch.
I would normally put out my large glitter pumpkins but they need some touching up and with the wild winds we have here, they probably wouldn’t stay put so I just got the real ones this year.

I hung my burlap fall wreath on my door and then my new Halloween welcome sign that I bought at Home Goods.
Like my flag, I have a regular welcome sign for fall that has fall leaves on it for the rest of fall.

Here is an upclose shot of my new sign.
I love it! 🙂

Now back inside we’ll go:

On my dining table I placed one of the burlap table runners I sewed a few years ago with some candles, a glittery harvest sign, some twig pumpkins and acorns.

I decorated my shutters with my usual fall decorations.

I placed some small glitter pumpkins on my entertainment center under our television.

On my new round table, I placed a fall felt placemat with some ceramic pumpkins, more acorns and then some berries.

And lastly, on my kitchen island I pulled out my cloche and put some pumpkins and gourds inside it. Placed it on a burnt orange napkin with another gourd and berries next to it and all done!

Like I said, it isn’t much but it does help make it feel a little more like fall.
