Handmade Hangout Party #265

HELLOOOOOOO! I hope you remember me! We have been moving into our house here in Germany and I have been living in a sea of brown boxes while unpacking them all and trying to figure out where everything is going to live.

I am SOOOO SORRY that the Handmade Hangout Party has been MIA that last few weeks! I finally transitioned AGI from Blogger to WordPress and let’s just say, that was quite the process! The blog was down for a long time, then back on Blogger for a few days, then finally got the switch to actually happen! YAY!! So welcome to the new A Glimpse Inside! 🙂

I sure hope that you will join us for the party this week by sharing your ideas.

MHCT&M: 12 Epic Playroom Spaces

Hello and happy Friday!

Today we are wrapping up ideas for playrooms and I am sharing some pretty epic playroom ideas that any kid, or even adult for that matter, would love to spend hours in their space having fun.

There are so many cool and creative playrooms that you can create. Here are just a few that caught my eye!

 (Decoholic)
Add some swinging chairs to the space, perfect to crawl up and read a good book on. Just be sure to find the ceiling joist!

 (Sahifa)
This room is a great room that will grow up with your kids. Shoot, I want to hang out in here too! There are so many fun things to do but also places to relax and just hang out.

(Kid’s Room Ideas)
Talk about a cool space! Houses and monkey bars- so fun!

(Bolig Magasinet)
Create a unique space with a slide for hours of fun!

 (Two Thirty-Five Designs)
Who wouldn’t love their own little fort inside so you can play no matter what the weather is like outside?! 🙂

 (Empathy Encompassed)
For anyone who is a germaphobe when it comes to ball pits in public spaces, build one in your house using PVC pipes! Such a great idea!

 (Brooklyn Nicole Homes)
Have some kiddos that have a lot of energy ALL. THE. TIME? Create an indoor gym for them complete with rock wall, swing, climbing ladder and more!

 (The Created Home)
Check out this space with it’s own cabin and rope bridge to get to another section! I would have LOVED this space growing up!

 (Fun at Home with Kids)
Here is another great space for active kids that are smaller.

 (Imgur)
HELLO, awesome reading net or hang out spot! If you have tall ceilings in a space, this would be a super cool addition!

(The Good Stuff Guide)

Check out this super fun basement that has turned into the great outdoors with all sorts of cool stuff scattered around the space.

(Remodelicious)

Imaginative play is an important part of a young child’s development and this space let’s their little imaginations run wild!!

Aren’t those all fabulous?!

Which one was your favorite?

MHCT&M: Art Stations for Kids

Happy Friday, friends!

It’s time for a new room in the house to talk about.

We’ve covered most of the main rooms in the house. This month we’re focusing on an extra space that you may have, or may want to have: a playroom!

In our home we have a bonus room which is a large room over our garage. It’s basically a multi-purpose space for anything we want! It’s currently serving many purposes. It holds my craft space, acts as a spare bedroom (fold out couch), game room, random storage, AND a playroom for my little boys! It’s not easy having a space that functions as so many things but we manage to make it work.

Today, I am choosing to focus on art stations for playrooms and, let me tell you, there are ALL kinds! Big or small, as long has a child has a space to create, I think they are happy.

Create an art station in your playroom, even if the space is small!

Pegboard Art Station

I love the pops of color on this monochromatic art station. I also love how all of the craft supplies are up off the table leaving more room for creating!

Art Cart

This is a great idea if you don’t have a dedicated space for art supplies. Making them mobile allows your child to create anywhere!

 Art Crafting Space

All needed art supplies are within arms reach in this colorful art space.

 Art Corner

This narrow art space uses height to it’s advantage.

 Murphy Art Desk

A DIY fold-down desk is a great way to save space in a room!

Craft Caddie

This mobile craft caddie is a great way to pick up and go create outdoors or even at a friend’s house!

Craft Shelves

I’m a big fan of bins for supplies and these shelves full of crafty bins look perfect for little ones!

Crafter-noon Corner

Not only does this space have a cute name, but the art space is so colorful and fun! I mean, that stool??? Yes, please!

Craft Station Nook

This is a brilliant use of space. You should see the before (hint, it was not a closet!).

 Giant Cork Board Display

With all of the artwork your little one is creating, they naturally need a place to display it. I love that this art space comes with it’s own giant cork board for displaying art!

Aren’t these all so fun? And so many ideas no matter the space you have (or don’t have!).

Must Have Craft Tips & More!

Don’t miss next week when we share more fun ideas for a playroom!
