Of course, I had to make everything myself but it was a bit of a challenge having JUST moved and all of my supplies and furniture was not with me.
I was smart in the fact that I pack and brought with me my cricut and other supplies I knew I would need like my trusty glue gun, so all I had to do was figure out what I was going to do and then go buy those supplies.
I sure wish I had Travis take a picture of me creating all of these supplies!
Picture me, sitting on the floor of our new bedroom (again, no furniture) or on our air mattress, with a $5 lamp from Target that I had to buy for light at night, and my supplies surrounding me creating all these decorations. It was a little painful for my back and butt to say the least. lol
Anyways… I guess you all would like to see the decorations.
Sorry if some of the pictures aren’t great.
I forgot my camera 🙁 so I had to borrow my friend’s camera to take these pictures and I wasn’t sure how to work it to change the lighting.
Guest were greeted at the front door with a pink and white coffee filter wreath.
I bought a cute pink and white polka dot ribbon and then tinted the edge of the coffee filters with pink ink. Its hard to tell in this picture but it was cute!
Then the guest saw the gift table in the kitchen.
The colors for the shower were all pastels, yellow, blue, green, and pink.
I covered the table in a yellow table cloth and then made a banner that said “gifts” out of coffee filters, scrapbook paper and ribbon. I also placed a topiary in the center which you’ll see in a moment.
I created 3 topiaries, 1 for the gift table and 2 for the food table. I bought the pink pails in the dollar section of Target. And then used mini white cupcake liners to cover a styrofoam ball. I tinted the liners with green, yellow, and blue inks and then alternated them as I glued them on. Added a little bow and white paper shreds to cover the foam in the pail and done!
I created a second wreath which was hung in the dining room near the food.
I wrapped it in pink yarn and then made a mini bunting banner that says “Emma” and attached a medallion I found at Michael’s that says baby girl.
And last but not least, I created a banner that said “Welcome Emma” and hung it in the living room area.
Sorry I don’t have a better picture of it!
But I bought a large pack of scrapbook paper at Michael’s and created the banner on my Cricut and strung it together with ribbon. I used the same pack of paper for the banner on the gift table and for the little banner on the wreath.
Pretty good for not having much to work with!
If I actually had furniture and all my supplies, who knows what else I would have created! lol
Linking up to some of these parties.
