Like I mentioned before, I got the opportunity to check out the new line and it was a fun day when this arrived at my doorstep!
I decided to create something for my shutters downstairs instead of the normal wreath I put on it.
So I got to work creating this Embroidery Hoop Art.
It was very simple to do.
I just grabbed an embroidery hoop I had lying around and picked out which papers and embellishments I wanted to use and got to work.
-Double Sided Tape
I started by tracing the embroidery hoop on my paper. I kept the hoops together and traced the OUTER side of the hoop.
I then cut out the shape another 1/4 inch outside the line I traced for more overhang when I placed the paper in the hoop.
I separated the hoops and placed my paper on the inner ring. I ran my finger around the edge of the paper and hoop creasing the paper.
Holding the paper on the inner hoop, I flipped in over and pushed the inner hoop into the outer hoop and tighten the loop. (I found it easier to do it this way instead of pushing the outer hoop onto the inner and the paper.)
I then cut out some of the awesome Pennant banner out and taped it down to the top area of the hoop.
I received an assortment of tags, some with designs, some plain, and some with the words cut out, so I decided to combine a few of them.
I took the tag with the word “Life” cut out of it and backed it with the glitter paper.
I then used the alphabet stickers and placed “beautiful” on another tag and combined the two tags together for them to say “Beautiful Life.”
Cut shapes out of other papers and layered them on top of each other and then placed the tags on top of the other papers.
I took one of the brads and added it to the end of the tag by pushing it through to the back of all the papers.
It turned out to be just what my center shutter needed!
