Hi new friends!
Alicia here from Sew What Alicia. I am so excited to be here to share a fun and easy embroidery tutorial. I love simple sewing projects and working with felt and an embroidery hoop is so relaxing! I love that you can sit on the couch and watch a movie while working on a cute project!
Here is a fun donut worry embroidery pattern.
Donut Worry Embroidery Pattern
Supplies:
Embroidery Hoop
Fabric Square
Felt in varying colors
Instructions:
If you are new to embroidery then you are going to want to check out these must have supplies for beginners. I can’t believe how quickly and easily this came together!
The first step is to grab your felt. Use a thread spool to trace six circles. Then trim around the edges of three of the circles using a squiggly line. Lastly cut the middle out of all the circles. You should now have three donuts and three “icings” to go on top.
Put your fabric in the hoop and then attach the three donuts along the outside edge and then add the icing around the outside and sew around the inside circle as well.
The last step for the donuts is to use French knots to add sprinkles. You could also do a back stitch to create long sprinkles.
Print the wording template in the supply list above. Then my secret hack is to simply embroider right over the paper!
Once you have sewn through the paper it is easy to use your tweezers and pull the paper out from the stitches.

I totally recommend using a more contrasting thread for the wording because the white really didn’t show up! But who wants to redo all the words, not I!
It comes together really quickly!
If you are curious what I did with mine once it was done head over and see my Donut Zipper Pouch tutorial!
