Today, I have a super yummy appetizer recipe for you that is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Plus, it is easy!
Plus, Lit’l Smokies are a great source of protein so you are making a healthy appetizer as well!
Want to learn how to create these for yourself?
Of course you do!!
Ingredients:
-Hillshire Brand- Hillshire Farm Beef Lit’l Smokies
-Crescent Rolls
-Spinach
-Onion (I used white onion but I think red would be delicious too)
-18 oz (small jar) Jar of Grape Jelly
-12 oz Jar of Chili Sauce
-Italian Blend Shredded Cheese
Place the same number of Lit’l Smokies in the bowl as to the number of tartlets you plan on making.
Then, put in a few more for good measure.
While your Lit’l Smokies are marinating in the sauce, pull our our crescent rolls, open, and tear them apart. You will then fold 2 of the corners in on itself to form a rectangle. Pressing with your fingers, spread the roll out larger so it fills a muffin tin.
Then, pull the Lit’l Smokies out of the sauce and chop them up. I chopped each Lit’l Smokies into 4 pieces.
Begin with some spinach leaves. Don’t worry about putting to much… it will cook down while baking.
Next, place your onions and Lit’l Smokies.
Then, using a teaspoon, spoon a little bit of the sauce into the tart. Not too much… don’t want it to make the bottom soggy.
Lastly, top with the shredded cheese.
I baked mine for 10 mins but judge by your oven if it needs a little more time.
