We had this space between our family room and kitchen that was calling for a small table. I wanted something round to make it easy to get around and so I was on the hunt for something inexpensive.
I struggled finding anything that I liked so finally one night I was browsing Craigslist and came across a moving sale with a small round table. I contacted the seller and luckily she still had it. So a few days later I popped on over to check it out and took that bad boy home with me.
It was in pretty good shape but it did have some dings on the legs and I wasn’t too keen on the stain color so I decided to give myself a project and gave this baby a makeover.
Here is a before and after shot of the table.
Like I said, it wasn’t bad before but I wanted to change it a little and give it a fun color.
I got out my trusty little sander and sanded the entire table down.
I used a dark stain, can’t remember the color at this moment, that I already had from darkening the railings in my house to give it a richer look.
Before Travis deployed, we picked up a can of Oops paint from Lowe’s so I decided to use that to paint the base.
The color is Ocean Voyage by Valspar and I used my paint sprayer to apply it.
I am thrilled with how it came out!
I already had some chairs so now I just have to start redoing those to match so I can actually sit down and use this table!
