Tablescape Thursday

Today is my first attempt at creating a tablescape for Susan’s Tablescape Thursday Party at Between Naps on the Porch. My tablescape is not near as spectacular as the ones that Susan creates but I am pretty happy with my first attempt. I have been wanting to create one for a while now. Every time I go places, I think how cute that would be in a tablescape but never buy anything. Everything I used were items I currently had. I had a few more ideas but couldn’t figure out how to execute them exactly like I pictured in my head so I scraped them. All well… can try again next time. Sorry the pictures aren’t great! Was have trouble with lighting and ignore the junk in the background. Stuff is still laying around from our move!

Blue, Green, and White- Summertime Delight

-Floral placemats: Martha Stewart collection at Macy’s. Got last summer on sale for $6 a piece
-White plate- Came in a big box set from Linen’s n’ Things when they were going out of business. Can’t remember the price but cheap.
-Salad plate and bowl- They are part of our everyday china we use. Got the whole set (including dinner plates not pictured) at TJ Maxx.
-Wine glasses- wedding present, from Kohls
-Spotted glasses- Bought at Burlington Coat Factory, gift from MIL
-Monogrammed Napkins- My Maid of Honor’s mom made them for my bridal shower
-Candle holders- Kohls
-Vase- Came from a store called Trees and Trim, was used as part of our centerpiece decor at our wedding.

Hope you enjoyed my first attempt. A bit casual but we don’t normally do things up very often so it fits us well.

Allison, your table is a great addition for the Tablescape-Thursday. I love how the swirls in your bowls match with that murano vase. This fresh blue and green shades on the table are so inviting and give an impression of summer heaven blue with fresh grass. Very well done.
