Easy Mini Tree Bunting Banner

“This post is brought to you by Core’Dinations and Blueprint Social. The opinions are 100% my own.”
I have a fun tutorial for you today using a totally awesome new product, Glitter Prints from Core’Dinations, which is actuallly unique, smooth glitter paper designed for printing on with your inkjet printer. How cool is that?!
You can now print on glitter! Easy and no mess, the glitter does not flake off! It is extremely easy to personalize and use since it works with any inkjet printer at home or in the office and prints with vibrant colors!

Are you ready to see what I created?
Here ya go…

If you’ve been around AGI for a while now, you know that I LOVE me some glitter in my Christmas decorations so I was super excited to check out this new product to add more glitter without the mess.
Here’s how easy it is to use this new Glitter Print paper and to make this banner.
-Paper Cutting
-Of course, an inkjet printer
-and Tape (ignore the glue gun!)

To begin, decide what you would like on your banner. It could be a saying, just different words you want to place around your tree, perhaps lyrics to a Christmas song, whatever!
I chose to use “believe in magic” and just typed it out in a word document. If you are curious, I used the font “Livewell” which I think I got from a special site but I am sure they are ones similar out there.
The font size is 76 and I spaced the letters 3 spaces apart from each other. I also double spaced the rows of letters.
Then just place the Glitter Print paper in your printer and hit print.
It printed fabulously!
After you print out the letters, it is time to cut the rows apart.
Using a paper cutter, trim down the rows. Leave about a 1/4 in or so above each row of letters and leave a good amount of space below each letter. I placed the cut rows on top of each other to make sure they were all the same height.
Next, cut the letters apart. To ensure that the bunting flags are relatively the same size fold each letter on top of the next one trying to center the letters on each other. Crease the paper and this is where you will cut.
Cut all the letters apart and if need be, trim any flags that may still be too large.
I wanted to add points at the bottom of the flag but this is totally optional. You can leave them as is, you can round them, up to you!
I just free handed the cutting with scissors but you could try using a cutting machine for this process.
Just cut from one corner to the center of the paper and repeat on the other side.
Cut the points in all the flags and then lay out your words.
If you do more than one word, place a blank flag between the words for the space.
Now to create the banner as a whole.
Just cut some twine and use some scotch tape to the tape the twine to the back of each letter.
Be sure to REVERSE your word when you flip your letters to apply the twine or your word will be backwards. (Not that I’m talking from experience or anything. 😉 lol)
I made 3 separate banners so I could hang them around the tree but you could always hang them in one long string.
Once it is complete it is time to trim the tree!
I angled the words down the tree.
All you have to do is tie the twine around a tree branch. Simple!!
Just weave the banners around your tree and it is ready to go!
And when the lights go on, the glitter shimmers so pretty!!
While I was in the banner making mood, I whipped up this “Give Thanks” banner and hung it on the mirror in our dining room. I used the same font but changed the font size to 100 to make it a little bigger.
See how pretty the red ink looks on the paper?! So fun!!
Core’dinations Glitter Prints are now available at Hobby Lobby and Michaels (under Michaels private label) and coming to Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores and A.C. Moore in early 2016! So be sure to pop on over to one of these stores and buy some for yourself and get crafty and make your own holiday items

This would be great as gift tags (which they sell), create a holiday printable and print it on this paper, you could even print pictures of the people you are giving gifts to and use those as your gift tags. Skies the limit!

I love how this came out and I think I am going to make one large banner with lyrics to a Christmas song on it for our large tree.

Prevent those Saggy Bottoms with New Pampers Cruisers

When I was in high school, my principal would always say something about guys having “sagging, bagging britches” and to this day every time I see my child with a diaper that is hanging low, I hear his voice say that.
I have used Pampers diapers ever since Miss P was born and still love them to this day with Miss S so when I heard that Pampers made some changes to their Pampers Cruisers to make them sag less with new extra absorb channels that help distribute wetness evenly and keep your baby drier, I had to run out to my local Target store to grab some.

It isn’t too often that Miss S’s diaper is so incredibly wet that it sags but it does happen after naps sometimes, if we are driving long distances or if we are out running errands.
I took this picture of her after her nap one day and as you can see, it is quite full and quite low and she clearly isn’t happy that I am taking her picture. Shhh, don’t tell her that I put it up here on the blog! 😉
She clearly isn’t wearing shorts right now but if she was, it would look like she perhaps had something in her diaper other than it just being wet. I always feel bad when I notice her diaper looking like this and want to get her changed pretty quickly.
The new Pampers Cruisers fit nice and even when we were traveling to TN, they didn’t seem quite so full when we were able to stop to change her diaper.
Of course, they are still great with a baby on the go that is constantly exploring and moving all parts of her body!
I never have to worry about these diapers not holding in the wetness or those nasty stinky diapers no matter what she is doing.
Yay for no more sagging, bagging britches!!
And another plus is that kiddos don’t look like they have a super full nasty diaper when they are clothed either! Gotta love that!
Pop by your local Target store or online and snag some new Pampers Cruisers for yourself!
Now through September 5, Buy 2 Pampers Giant Packs, Get $10 Gift Card! (Giant Packs include: Pampers Cruisers and Pampers Swaddlers diapers and both offers will be available in store and online)

Monogram Mason Jar Soap Dispenser {Easy Gift Idea}

** This is a sponsored post on behalf of Consumer Crafts. All opinions are 100% my own. **
I have a super easy gift idea for you today.

Remember when I talked about Consumer Crafts a few weeks ago and how you can buy anything you want from there?
Well, everything I used for this project was bought there. Told you it was a one stop shop!

Here is how you can make this for yourself.

I bought:
Project Life Mini Kit: Holiday Edition
Cricut Vinyl Sample Pack
DIY Mason Jar Soap Dispenser Lid with Pump and Locking Collar

I used my Cricut machine but you can also use a Silhouette, and cut a letter “M” out of the vinyl.

I made sure to clean the glass then applied the vinyl.

You could also cut out the word “soap” or “wash” and apply it to the glass as well.
Whatever you want!

I then put the dispenser together and just replaced the original jar’s lid.
And it is done!

Since this is a gift, I took one of the Christmas cards out of the Project Life mini kit to use as a tag.
I just punched a hole in the corner and then you can write a message on the back.

I wrapped the jar in a clear bag with red tissue paper, tied with green bakers twine and the tag attached.

So simple, so fast, and so easy!!

This would make the perfect neighbor or teacher gift!

And speaking of cutting machines… how would you like to win one?!

3 Ways to Ensure your House #SmellsClean for Holiday Guests

** This post is sponsored by Acorn Influence but all opinions are 100% my own. **
The holidays are fast approaching, shoot, Thanksgiving is TOMORROW, is your house ready for company?
I bet you have been cleaning, trying to make sure your house looks nice for your upcoming guests but have you thought about the way your house smells? If you have pets and children than does it SMELL clean?
You tend to get used to the odors in your home and don’t know if it smells so if you want to put your best foot forward for your guests, you also need to make sure it smells clean.

While shopping, drop by the air care aisle where you will find NUMEROUS options to help make sure your house smells clean for your guests.
There are so many wonderful holiday scents out this time of year so you are surely going to find something that you enjoy and that matches your holiday decor.
I want to share 3 easy things that I do to make sure my house smells clean.
They are also super fast and easy to do, to make sure you are prepared for even those unannounced guests that drop by and will make your house seem warm and inviting.
I am a sucker for all things vanilla- vanilla cookies or cake, french vanilla, etc.- but around the holidays I like to infuse the scents that remind me of the season, like cinnamon, apple spice, and more.

Febreze NOTICEables are something that I always use in my house.

I love the two scents and there are numerous scents to pick from.
They last about a month, looks like I need to change my current one, and the holiday scents out there will make your holidays more festive.
Don’t have a Febreze NOTICEables oil plug, then how about an Air Wick oil warmer?
I use these upstairs in my house to make sure it smells clean up there as well especially if we have over night guests.

I don’t use a super strong scent upstairs, just something that you will notice but that won’t over power you.

Another option to use to make sure your house smells clean is to use wax melts in a warmer.
Turn it on in the morning and forget about it. That way if someone drops by, the scent has filled the house.

And lastly, I LOVE candles. You can quickly light them and in no time at all, you can smell the scent filling your home.
Glade has some yummy scents out there and the candles aren’t huge so they can be placed any where you like.

I like to place them in the bathroom that guests will be using to make sure it smells nice in there.

But you could also use some larger candles, that will help radiate the scent through your whole house.

I use larger candles on my kitchen island and it makes my entire house smell delicious.

One tip:
Buy similar scents to make sure that they don’t complete against each other and are too strong.
You want your guests to enjoy themselves and your food, not get a headache from the smell.
Now, head to the store, go to the air care aisle, and browse the selection before your guests arrive!
Don’t want to waste all that time cleaning if your house doesn’t smell clean as well.

Lillian Vernon Product Review

** This post is sponsored by Lillian Vernon. All opinions are 100% my own. **
I recently had the opportunity to review a product from Lillian Vernon.
A terrific shop full of gift ideas for everyone in your life, home decor, outdoor decor, and much, much more!
I browsed the items available to me and as soon as I saw this item I knew I would have one SUPER happy little girl on my hands if I got this for her.
I picked the “Supermodel” Doll-in-a-Pink-Trunk with Accessories and I was so anxious for it to arrive. I had to wait to see it until we got back in town from TN but it was the first box I opened when the mail lady delivered our mail.
I opened the box and saw this adorable little trunk waiting inside.
You can personalize many items on their site, for FREE, so I had Miss P’s name put on the trunk.
When you open the trunk, you’ll find a pretty little doll inside along with all her accessories just waiting to be played with.

Can we just talk about this doll for a moment?
How pretty is she?!
I adore her head full of hair, and I know Miss P will too, and her outfit is so pretty as well.
She stands 7 1/2″ tall and is a soft vinyl doll with open and close eyes.
And boy, does this doll have the accessories!
She comes with a total of 8 outfits, the one she has on and then 7 additional for ALL occasions.
She has the lovely red and white party dress on when you get her but let’s take a look at her other options.
Is your doll going on a elegant night on the town? Place the evening dress on her.
Or is she just hanging out with her friends shopping? Place her in her denim jacket and floral skirt.
How about a cute plaid jacket for a little fun?
Or perhaps she just wants to be comfortable in a big hoodie and skirt.
When she is tired, put on her fleece red pajamas and slippers.
If it is raining, she can wear her yellow rain jacket.
Or maybe she just wants to dress up a little bit with a plaid skirt and red top.
ALL outfits come with a matching pair of shoes too! How fun is that?!
A small comb also comes in the trunk to brush her beautiful hair.
As well as a cute sleeping bag and pillow- every girl needs their beauty rest right?!
7 hangers come with the outfits so you can hang up the clothes on the hook inside the truck. There is also a small drawer in the trunk for all the shoes and small accessory pieces.
Perfect way to help keep everything in one place and organized!
There is even a mirror on the opposite side of the trunk.
I love this little set and can’t wait to give it to Miss P for Christmas! I hope she loves it just as much as I do!
I am kinda jealous really! I would have LOVED this when I was little. I may end up playing with this more than her. hehe 😉
Now, if you don’t mind, she needs to rest up before she is given to a little girl on Christmas morning.
Please leave quietly! 😉
Be sure to check out all the other great items over at Lillian Vernon
Here are just a couple fun items you can find.

Trust me, you can definitely knock some Christmas gifts off your list!

Lit’l Smokies and Spinach Tartlets #BringHillshireHome

** I have been compensated for this post by Hillshire Brands™ through the Mom it Forward Blogger Network but opinions are 100% my own.**
Can you believe that the holiday season is fast approaching? Gatherings with family and friends will occur and company will come visit, and with that comes serving delicious things to eat.

Today, I have a super yummy appetizer recipe for you that is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Plus, it is easy!

Mmmmmm… they are so good and no one would ever suspect they were made using Lit’l Smokies.
Plus, Lit’l Smokies are a great source of protein so you are making a healthy appetizer as well!

Want to learn how to create these for yourself?
Of course you do!!

-Hillshire Brand- Hillshire Farm Beef Lit’l Smokies
-Crescent Rolls
-Onion (I used white onion but I think red would be delicious too)
-18 oz (small jar) Jar of Grape Jelly
-12 oz Jar of Chili Sauce
-Italian Blend Shredded Cheese

To Start:
In a bowl, spoon half of the jar of grape jelly and half a jar of chili sauce, and stir.
Place in the microwave to heat up. I start with 1 min. then stir and judge how much more time it needs by the jelly. Another 30 secs to 1 min should be good to get it nice, warm, and combined.
Place the Lit’l Smokies in the sauce and let sit.
Place the same number of Lit’l Smokies in the bowl as to the number of tartlets you plan on making.
Then, put in a few more for good measure.

While your Lit’l Smokies are marinating in the sauce, pull our our crescent rolls, open, and tear them apart. You will then fold 2 of the corners in on itself to form a rectangle. Pressing with your fingers, spread the roll out larger so it fills a muffin tin.

Now it is time to mince your onion and then chop up your spinach.
Then, pull the Lit’l Smokies out of the sauce and chop them up. I chopped each Lit’l Smokies into 4 pieces.
Time to fill your tartlets.
Begin with some spinach leaves. Don’t worry about putting to much… it will cook down while baking.
Next, place your onions and Lit’l Smokies.
Then, using a teaspoon, spoon a little bit of the sauce into the tart. Not too much… don’t want it to make the bottom soggy.
Lastly, top with the shredded cheese.
Bake in the oven at 375.
I baked mine for 10 mins but judge by your oven if it needs a little more time.

Serve and enjoy!
They are sure to be a big hit at your next party!
We have a Safeway Store less than 10 mins from our house so that is my go to place for all my grocery shopping needs. If you have a Safeway near you, they have a Just for U program with their Safeway card that makes saving so easy! If you shop there and don’t use the program, you are missing out!
All you have to do is go to their site or use their Safeway App to browse all the coupons and click “Add” to add that coupon to your card. Give your card to the cashier at checkout to scan and boom… if you bought those items then the coupon is applied to your purchase. How easy is that?!

Life with Little Girls…

** This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Playtex, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #RefreshYourNursery **
If you don’t have a little girl, or in my case multiple little girls in your life, it sure is interesting!!
I LOVE my girls!
Couldn’t imagine having little boys but they definitely change your world, like any child would, but they change your home just as much!
The color pink just begins to force itself into your decor no matter how hard you try to keep it away.
Toys, blankets, tables, you name… those girlie pinks appear!

Have you heard of the invasion of the Baby Dolls?!
Baby dolls just begin to multiple before your eyes!
These are only a few of ours invaders.
And activities that involve those baby dolls are around the clock fun!
They get carried to the stores with you, they get pushed around in strollers around the house, they get fed, and of course, get put to bed with those little girls.
Living room tea parties and picnics become daily activities.
And notice those baby dolls are hanging around for the fun too!
Closets that were once used for storage soon get filled with cute frilly, girlie clothes… mostly pink at that.
And the hair bows!
Holy cow, the hair bows!
These are just Miss P’s hair bows and Miss S’ stash is growing rapidly as well!
Little girls sure make life fun!
Their tiny voices are so adorable as they say “mama,” “dada” and “I love you.”
But my little girls have a dark side.
Beside the little attitudes that show up, oh so early, these girls have stinky diapers that can rival many adult males!!
That is when our Diaper Genies come to the rescue!!
And yep… our Diaper Genies are accessorized with bows and necklaces too!
Two girls in diapers require multiple odor control sources.
We used to have another brand when Miss P was first born and it broke, twice, so I am thrilled we finally got smart and switched to a Diaper Genie and they are fabulous!
And gotta love the easy refill packs that you can buy.
I normally buy my refills at Target and that is exactly where I picked these up.
And right now, receive a $25 Spa Finder Wellness gift card (while supplies last!) after purchasing 3 or more varieties of Diaper Genie Refills at Target and by saving your Target receipt and going to the following website:
And can’t forget the fun when it comes to throwing the diapers into the Diaper Genie!
Miss P used to slam dunk it in and say “BOOM” but that now has changed.
Dance parties are all the rage in our house as of late so that is what happens now after we throw a diaper away.
Though, I can’t wait until those dance parties can happen after Miss P uses the potty and then when JUST Miss S throws her diaper away!
So if you are a momma-to-be or know a momma-to-be, get yourself a Diaper Genie for ALL those dirty diapers!

Chocolate Berry Banana Smoothie

“This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Nestle, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #BreakfastEssentials”
With a soon to be 2 yr old and a 6 mth old, breakfasts in my house, for me anyways, sometimes do not happen. By the time I get both girls up, get them breakfast, and all settled for the day, I just forget about something for myself. I have been trying to get up early so I can have a little time to myself before all the craziness begins and try to eat breakfast but  sometimes other things still take priority.
That is where Carnation Breakfast Essentials comes in. It is the perfect addition to my morning routine so I make sure I am getting the proper nutrition I need to keep up with two growing girls all day long. It contains 21 Vitamins and Minerals, 13g of Protein, and as much Calcium as a 6 oz cup of yogurt. That sure is good for this momma!
I picked up some Carnation Breakfast Essentials at my local Safeway store and decided to use it to make a yummy smoothie. It is quick, easy, and oh so good!
And I have to admit, I like fruit but I don’t eat them nearly enough so the smoothie is one way that I am getting the fruits I need without just eating them out right. And I may throw in a few fruits that I don’t like but who doesn’t like fruit and chocolate?! 😉
This smoothie is so easy and can be made for just yourself or your whole family!
Here is how I made it:
-Carnation Breakfast Essentials- I bought the container of Rich Milk Chocolate Powder but they have many options, even a variety pack!
 -6 Strawberries
-Half a Banana
– 1/2 cup of Milk
-A few Ice Cubes

*** Just double the recipe if you are making this for more than one person. I used the whole banana and a few more strawberries and then about a full cup to a cup and a half of milk since I was making this for myself, Travis, and Miss P. ***
Chop up the fruit and get your Carnation Breakfast Essential all ready to go for the blender.
Throw all the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth.
 That’s it!
Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Miss P (and her wild and crazy morning hair) was really excited about her smoothie!
I don’t have to sneak fruits into her diet though… this girl loves them!!

Travis enjoyed it just as much and since it is fast and easy, he could definitely make one for himself before running out the door for work.

Carnation Breakfast Essentials comes in a variety of flavors to satisfy anyone’s tastes buds
such as Rich Milk Chocolate, Classic French Vanilla, Classic Chocolate Malt, Dark Chocolate, Strawberry Sensation, and the Variety Pack (which has multiple flavors).
You can find numerous Smoothie Recipes on the Carnation Breakfast Essentials website that could help with your crazy morning routines while you are still getting all the nutrition you and your family needs.
And drop by the Carnation Breakfast Essentials Facebook page to keep up with the latest information.

Floral Stenciled Pallet Art

This post is sponsored by Plaid Crafts via The Blueprint Social. I received materials for this project and compensation for my time, but as always: all opinions are most definitely my own!

I have a fun project for you today using the new Ed Roth’s Stencil1 line and FolkArt Multi-Surface Paint from Plaid Crafts. You will soon be able to find the stencils at JoAnn Fabric and Craft Stores.
The Stencil1 stencils have large formats that are perfect for walls, floors and furniture. They are also very durable and made from reusable mylar which is very easy to clean with soap and water.
Multi-Surface paints are great on any surface, including both indoor
and outdoor applications. They are even dishwasher safe! How great is that?!
Our bedroom was the only room that didn’t have ANY sort of art on the walls. How sad is that?!
So I asked Travis to built me a pallet from all the wood we had and I wanted it in an oval… well it turned out to be more like a football shape but that’s ok, and got to work with my new stencil.
If you are someone that has never used a stencil before and is nervous to try it out… Don’t be!! It isn’t as scary as you think it may be!
Here is how I created my stenciled art.
– Ed Roth Stencil1 stencil (I received this Cherry Blossom stencil)
-Wood Pallet
-FolkArt Multi-Surface Paint
-Stencil brushes
-Paper Plate

To begin, place your stencil where you would like it started or placed on your surface.
I began at the edge of the bottom left side.
You can use painters tape to hold the stencil in place, you could spray it with repositional spray adhesive, or you can just hold it down with your hands.
Dip your stencil brush into the paint and then dab it on a paper plate to remove the excess paint so it won’t bleed under your stencil.
Then just apply your brush onto the stencil and pounce it along the stencil.
Continue pouncing the brush along the whole stencil.
Continue pouncing until the full stencil is covered. Remember to remove the excess paint whenever you refill your brush.
Once complete, you can just remove the stencil to reveal what you just completed.
I relined my stencil and then grabbed a smaller stencil brush to do the flowers.
You could always continue with the same color but I decided to do yellow for my flowers.
I chose to use blue for the center of the flowers.
To continue the stencil, decide where you want the placement to be and place it over the area.
I did give my first stencil a few minutes to dry but luckily, the paint dries quickly. Also, before placing the stencil down, I did wipe the back down so any paint that was wet on the back wouldn’t transfer onto the wood.
I continued around the pallet until I had a design that I was happy with.
I used different parts of the stencil each time depending on the placement.
Before hanging it up, I decided to add some highlights to the branches and flowers. I just did this freehand so the image wouldn’t be so flat.
I then had Travis hang it above our bed and it looks great.
I’m thrilled with how it came out and so happy that we now actually have some art up on our walls.
You can find the whole line of Ed Roth’s Stencil1 at Plaid Crafts Online.

You can definitely do some fun stuff with a Silhouette machine.
I have a Silhouette Cameo and here is my latest project that I made with the help of my machine.
Reindeer Name Art:
Here’s the how to:
-Vinyl (12×12 sheet for this project)
-Paint brushes
-Silhouette Machine
-Computer to use Silhouette Softward
To start, I opened my Silhouette software and designed what I wanted to cut out onto the piece of vinyl.

When I was happy with the layout, I loaded the vinyl into my machine and cut.
I gave my canvas a clean coat of white paint and let it dry.
My canvas was a 14×14 size canvas, so I measured in 1 inch on all sides since my piece of vinyl was only 12×12. This way it would be centered on my canvas.
Then apply the vinyl to the canvas.
I was only using the negative image since I was using the vinyl as a stencil, so be sure to keep the inside pieces of all the letters!
Be sure to rub and smooth out the vinyl to make sure it sticks to the canvas well so minimize paint bleeding under it.
I painted the reindeer at the top brown.
Be sure to start with the paint brush on the vinyl and brush into the design. This will help minimize bleeding.
I painted Rudolph’s name red for his red nose of course.
Then I painted the other reindeer names green.
I gave a couple coats to everything.
Since I had an inch open on all sides, I painted that area red to make a border.
I added some white polka dots for a little whimsy.
I also touched up the reindeer and the names a little when I took the vinyl off if there were areas that did bleed.
I outlined the border in black along with the white dots.
I didn’t care if they weren’t perfect lines or outlines because I wanted it to look like I freehanded them.
I love how it came out!
Can’t wait to hang it up for the holiday season!
See… a Silhouette is so easy to use!!
So pop on over to Silhouette for the Black Friday Sale
Remember to use the promo code: GLIMPSE at checkout!!!
