Handmade Hangout Party #265

HELLOOOOOOO! I hope you remember me! We have been moving into our house here in Germany and I have been living in a sea of brown boxes while unpacking them all and trying to figure out where everything is going to live.

I am SOOOO SORRY that the Handmade Hangout Party has been MIA that last few weeks! I finally transitioned AGI from Blogger to WordPress and let’s just say, that was quite the process! The blog was down for a long time, then back on Blogger for a few days, then finally got the switch to actually happen! YAY!! So welcome to the new A Glimpse Inside! 🙂

I sure hope that you will join us for the party this week by sharing your ideas.

If you are sharing a link for the first time on their new system, you will be asked to sign in with a social media account like Facebook. I am SOOOOOOOO sorry that I am getting this week’s Handmade Hangout Party up on the last day. Our week here in Germany has been a busy one and it totally slipped my mind.

I just hope that you’ve had a great week and have some great ideas that you want to share.

So sorry that I am getting the party up so late again today!!  I set my alarm to get the party up, hit dismiss, then finished folding laundry and totally forget before I had to go pick up the girls from school, go to teacher conferences and make dinner! GAH!

I hope you still enjoy the party and find a few things that catch your eye!

MHCT&M: Outdoor Halloween Decor

Hello everyone and happy Friday! Welcome to another Must Have Craft Tips and More post!

Can you believe that September is coming to a close already?!

I sure can’t! Halloween is just over a month away so today I am wrapping up our month of Halloween ideas by discussing Outdoor Halloween Decor.

I have a confession to make. I am NOT a Halloween person (said as I am hiding behind my couch from anything being thrown at me). I have never really been a Halloween person, even as a kid. I stopped trick or treating in elementary school by choice but that didn’t stop me from asking my mom to still buy me my favorite candy. 😉 I mostly decorate for fall and only add a Halloween touch here and there the week of Halloween, if I can remember that is, and that is all that I do.

But I know some of you LOVE Halloween and love to go all out so today I’m sharing some outdoor Halloween decor ideas that I am sure you will love.

Turn your house into a Dead and Breakfast. (bhg.com)

DIY Halloween Ghost to haunt your yard. (DIY Showoff)

Create a Giant Spider to protect your yard from those little Monsters (Instructables)

How about some Floating Head Hanging Ghosts for your porch (Simply Designing)

I love these silhouettes! You can make some fun scenes using silhouettes. (Martha Stewart)

Create and hang a Halloween Shoppe sign in your window (Chicken Scratch NY)

Turn your porch into a perch for a conspiracy of ravens. (Martha Stewart)

Here’s another way you could decorate with Ravens (create.craft.love)

Fence off your yard by creating this Halloween Wood Pallet fence (Sew Woodsy)

I love these Floating Witch Hats. Maybe I will create these this year. (Polkadot Chair)

Create a pumpkin arch to greet those trick or treaters (Don Morin)

You can be afraid of spiders when you decorate your house this way. (Apartment Therapy)

Create a crime scene on your porch although it may keep everyone away. lol (What’s Ur Home Story)

Oversized spider web for your porch, side of your house, large wall, wherever! (My Untangled Life)

Ghostly drapery to set the eerie mood. (hgtv.com)

Don’t forget to decorate the large blank canvas that is your garage door! (instructables)

These Yard Monsters are so fun and easy to create! You could put them in the bushes and trees. (a girl and a glue gun)

There you have it!

Which idea was your favorite?

Do you like to go over the top when you decorate for Halloween?

Stay tuned next month for a whole new topic.

MHCT&M: DIY Halloween Signs

Whether you decorate for Halloween in September or October, it’s never too early to get inspired to make some new decor!

One of my favorite things to make and display for this spooky holiday are DIY Halloween Signs. They are fun to make and the options are endless!!

Create your own Halloween decor using these ideas for inspiration!

Here are some of my very favorite DIY Halloween Signs. I hope they get you inspired for this year’s Halloween festivities!

Make this modern farmhouse Halloween sign.

Use wood, burlap, and paint to make a Halloween sign.

 Rustic Halloween sign how-to.

Paint over a dollar store sign to create a Halloween sign.

Make a countdown to Halloween sign.

DIY Practical Potions sign for Halloween.

Make a haunted hotel vacancy sign for Halloween.

Create a standing haunted hotel sign for Halloween.

Make a Halloween directional sign out of scrap wood.

 DIY broom rides Halloween sign.
Glow in the dark Halloween sign.

Out of Treats Halloween sign to hang on the door.

I don’t know about you, but I want to make all of these DIY Halloween Signs!
Not sure how I’ll pick which one to make first…

I hope you are feeling inspired and ready to make all the spooky signs for Halloween! Join us next Friday for even more Halloween inspiration.
