Holiday Home Tour

I am FINALLY sharing my Christmas decor with you all today and taking you on a little tour.
I’ve had my decorations up for a while but finally got around to taking pictures and editing them.
So grab a hot cocoa, sit back and relax while I take you on a tour of my home.
I will start by the front door.
I hung my wooden snowflake on the mirror with a little snowman on the table below. I also placed by little gift box tin where all the Christmas cards that we receive are kept.
Directly next to the front door, I hung my burlap Christmas art

I kept the end table that is normally by our sofa in the living room where it was but just pushed it into the corner so it wouldn’t be too close to our tree.
I place some snowman decor on it and Miss P loves these little guys.
In front of the large window in the front of the house is our Christmas tree. It always gets to be front and center!
Continuing around the living room, I will move to the fireplace.
I kept the burlap that I used on the mantle for my fall decor since I have burlap ribbon in my Christmas tree.
I also kept up the large window and place the wire star on it.
I had the small Christmas tree and then bought the large JOY letters from Target and the super cute and fun reindeer from Pier 1.
It is colorful and simple. I love it!
Our stockings used to hang on our shutters in the past so I was pretty excited when they could actually be placed on the fireplace this year.
Inside the fireplace, I placed another small tree, some candlestickes with glittery candles, and the little 25 plaque I made last year.
Next to the fireplace is the Christmas Subway Art I created a few years ago.
I had to figure out what to place on our shutters this year since the stockings were no longer going here.
I place the my embroidery hoop ornaments and then my reindeer name art on them  since I had them both on hand. Not a fan of the ornaments on it but I didn’t want to make something new either so I will figure something out for next year.
Decorated the top with my usual garland as well.
Then just placed a few decorations on the console table.
Here is the bottom of the console.
I bought the tall Santa at Pier 1 this year.
I had the other Santa for a few years now and placed him in a forest of yarn trees I made last year.
On the floor by the console, I place this wooden tree that lights up.
Here is my dining room centerpiece.
I normally have pinecones and berries tucked within the garland but I accidentally packed all that away before I decorated the table. Oops!!
I bought these fun snowflakes from Target a few years ago and they hang from the beam that separates the dining room from the family room.
I wrapped the banister in a skinny garland and then also added a berry garland on top.
These are the decorations on the entertainment center in the family room.
Pretty much the same as every year.
I placed my two small trees in the corner to the right of the entertainment center.
It is decorated with ornaments Travis and I created when we were dating and now Miss P’s ornament.
One the end table in the family room, is my tiny nativity.
And a quick stop in the kitchen will reveal this silver tinsel tree on the bottom of our island.
Along with the NOEL sign I made last year in the window above our stove.
That concludes the tour.
I forgot to take a picture of the cute little tree in Miss P’s room and our outdoor decor but that’s ok!
I hope you enjoyed my home tour and maybe got a few ideas for how to decorate your house next year.
 Merry Christmas!!

Holiday Open House Party: Week 3

Welcome to this year’s Holiday Open House party!!

This is week 2 of the Holiday Open House Party and if you missed the previous two weeks, I announced that I am changing things up a little this year.
Instead of having each week be a certain link up, like trees one week, house decor the next, etc., I am just having it be anything Christmas/holiday related can be linked up.

But PLEASE still link up your Christmas decorations and trees and feel free to take us on a home tour of your house!
I love seeing how everyone else decorates!

This will also be one continuous party.
So I will post the party each week but the link up box will still be open from the previous weeks so everyone can see what other ideas have been linked up.
So be sure to come back each week and link up your new ideas or decorations! 🙂

RULES:

1.) Link up to a specific post not your blog in general.

2.) Your post must be of your Holiday related items!! Decorations, Christmas trees, outdoor lights and decor, tutorials for Christmas crafts, recipes, etc.
This is not where you share general crafts. Catch a Glimpse Party will run tomorrow like usual so I will delete any links that aren’t Holiday related.

3.) Stop and visit a couple links to get new ideas!

4.) HAVE FUN!!!

Share a button on your blog to spread the word about the party and to show you are participating!

Holiday Open House, Week 3

Welcome to Week 3 of my Holiday Open House party!
I want to see all those bright lights that decorate the outside of your house!
You may also link up your house decorations and Christmas Trees if you’ve missed the past 2 parties.

I pretty much decorated the outside the exact same as last year but that’s ok.

I will start at my front door for my outdoor decor tour.

I ordered a real wreath through the Boy Scouts this year but I am pretty sure they delivered the wrong size wreath to me. I got the smallest wreath and this bad boy is BIG! lol
I bought the bow at Hobby Lobby instead of using the bow that came with it and I am still debating on adding a few other things to it but for now, it is up as is.

To the left of my door, I hung this star.

These three little trees are on my porch.
I put all the rocks around them to make sure they stay up right with the winds we have here but it makes them a little more outdoorsy!
I have garland wrapped around the porch columns and I placed these bows I created at the top of each one.
Here is a shot of my whole porch. (like the pots of flowers in front?! lol)
I have this mini flag hanging right now. I will put out my reindeer flag a little closer to Christmas.
Here are my little trees all lite up.
And here is my house lite up at night.
Obviously, the icicle lights are LED so they are a little brighter than the rest of our lights. I’m not a HUGE fan of the difference but all well!
Now it is time for you to share your decorations!!

RULES:

1.) Link up to a specific post not your blog in general.

Holiday Open House, Week 2

Welcome to Week 2 of my Holiday Open House party!
Today is the time to show off those gorgeous Christmas Trees!
If you didn’t get to share your decorations last week, you can share your living room, dining room, kitchen, etc. decorations at this party as well.

Here is our tree and a close up shot of my ornaments.

I placed our tree in front of the large window in the front of our house again this year.

Here are some of my favorite ornaments.
Travis broke some of my all time favorites last year, boo :(, so I had to buy quite a few new ones this year.
 I love glass ornaments.
I love ornaments with glitter.
So I have LOTS of them!
The Santa star was a gift from my  Aunt one Christmas.

I bought the pink ornament with the owl as P’s first Christmas ornament. I just bought a paint pen and wrote on the back the year and “Parker’s 1st Christmas.”
The two top ornaments are two new additions this year.
The Santa icicle was also a gift from my aunt.
And the cute Reindeer was a gift for Parker last year.
The two ornaments on the left side are also new ones this year.
I love the top left one! 🙂
The two top ornaments are the ornaments Travis and I made at the Louisville Glass Company when we lived in KY.
The bottom right is also a new one.
I’ve had all these ornaments for a few years now. They were either gifts or ornaments I bought.
All four of these ornaments are new additions.
The right ornaments is the last new one this year.
Told ya I like glass, glittery ornaments! 🙂
I wrapped my tree in burlap ribbon this year instead of the silver ribbon I normally do and then still included the glittery tree picks I made a few years ago.
Patton enjoys taking naps on the tree skirt while he can before the presents are all shoved under there!
I topped my tree with my usual tree topper as well.
I love the glow of my tree at night and how the ornaments glisen! 🙂
In our family room area, I have these two little trees all decorated.
I topped each tree with ribbon bows.
Travis’ Broncos Football Ornament goes on this tree.
Along with ornaments Travis and I created over the years.
Just put paint into clear ornaments and bam… your done!

They add a nice little touch and glow to the family room.

Now it is time for you to show off your trees!!

1.) Link up to a specific post not your blog in general.

Holiday Open House Party; Week 1

Welcome to Week 1 of my Holiday Open House party!
Today is the time to share your house decor.
You can share your living room, dining room, kitchen, etc. decorations.
Here are my decorations!
I’ll start with my entry way.
I placed my wooden snowflake on my mirror and then put the little metal box on my table.
I love to hang an item in front of a mirror for a little something extra.
And I use this box to collect all the Christmas cards we receive in the mail.
In our front window, I placed our Christmas tree.

Moving to the right of the tree is a curio cabinet. I only decorate the top of it and the top open shelf.
The two pictures in the frames were actually Christmas cards I received at one time.
Next to the curio cabinet, I hung my Christmas Subway art.
To the left of the tree are my shutters all decked out plus my new console table.
Since we don’t have a fireplace, I always hang our stockings on our shutters and I always love how it looks.
Add some garland, a wreath, and now some figurines to the table and that area is done.
Here is how I decorated my dining room table.
I saw an idea like this in Pottery Barn a few years ago so this is how I have decorated my table the past few years.
The greenery is an old garland I don’t use anymore. Throw in some glittered pine cones and berries and you are good to go!
I wrapped my banister in a thin garland and some berry garland.
In the family room area, I placed two small trees and decorated them with ornaments Travis and I made.
I placed some figurines on the entertainment center but left it pretty simple.
Up close of items:
A fun silver Reindeer.
Noel glittered metal sign.
And a little snowman with some trees.
On our bar, I just placed this silver Tinsel tree with a little snowman candle holder.
Under the island, I placed this little decorated tree.
And placed another one on top of the island!
Here is my stove area.
I placed the Embroidery Hoop Ornaments on the little ledge of the stove hood.
Then I put some items in the window area above my stove.
My cute little salt and pepper shaker.
Then I created the NOEL sign and the 25 sign at a Pinterest party I threw.
Now it is time for you to share your decorations!!

RULES:

1.) Link up to a specific post not your blog in general.

Welcome to the last week of the Holiday Open House!
This week you can show off your Outdoor decor and lights!

PLEASE ONLY LINK UP YOUR HOLIDAY DECORATIONS!
This party is NOT for tutorials!!

I don’t have too many outdoor pics to share. Ok, only 3.
We only decorated our porch this year since it was our first year in the house and we’ve been working inside so much.

But here is what we did!

White LED icicle lights on the porch
Garland with white lights and some bows
and our Little pine trees on the porch

Here is an up close shot of the bows.

And here is our little tree grouping.
We had to use some big rocks to weight them down with the crazy winds we have here but it made it look a little mountainy so it was cute!

And that’d be it! lol

Now I want to see how you decorated your houses!

RULES:

1.) Your post must be of your Holiday Decorations not of a tutorial.

2.) Link up to a specific post not your blog in general.
