MHCT&M: DIY Fall Doormats

I am absolutely loving the beautiful fall weather here in Arizona! We look forward to the temperatures dropping all year long and it seems to have happened upon us earlier than usual this year. The cooler weather motivates me to clean up our front porch and patio areas and give it some fall lovin! One of the easiest ways to give your front porch or patio a quick facelift is by adding a cute mat. So today I’m sharing fun DIY Fall Doormats!

DIY Fall Doormats to dress up your front porch!

Not only are they fairly simple to make, but they are super inexpensive too!

Of course, I would use my Silhouette Cameo to cut out a stencil of my choosing, then apply it to a plain doormat, and spray it with spray paint!

It’s that easy… which means it’s also probably addicting too. Let’s check out some of my favorites for some DIY Fall Doormats inspiration!

Aren’t they fun?! Which one is your favorite?

I can’t decide between a pumpkin doormat and the Hocus Pocus one… so I may just have to make two or ten!

Thanks for joining us for another fall roundup!

We will see you back here next Friday for more fall fun.

MHCT&M: Outdoor Halloween Decor

Hello everyone and happy Friday! Welcome to another Must Have Craft Tips and More post!

Can you believe that September is coming to a close already?!

I sure can’t! Halloween is just over a month away so today I am wrapping up our month of Halloween ideas by discussing Outdoor Halloween Decor.

I have a confession to make. I am NOT a Halloween person (said as I am hiding behind my couch from anything being thrown at me). I have never really been a Halloween person, even as a kid. I stopped trick or treating in elementary school by choice but that didn’t stop me from asking my mom to still buy me my favorite candy. 😉 I mostly decorate for fall and only add a Halloween touch here and there the week of Halloween, if I can remember that is, and that is all that I do.

But I know some of you LOVE Halloween and love to go all out so today I’m sharing some outdoor Halloween decor ideas that I am sure you will love.

Turn your house into a Dead and Breakfast. (bhg.com)

DIY Halloween Ghost to haunt your yard. (DIY Showoff)

Create a Giant Spider to protect your yard from those little Monsters (Instructables)

How about some Floating Head Hanging Ghosts for your porch (Simply Designing)

I love these silhouettes! You can make some fun scenes using silhouettes. (Martha Stewart)

Create and hang a Halloween Shoppe sign in your window (Chicken Scratch NY)

Turn your porch into a perch for a conspiracy of ravens. (Martha Stewart)

Here’s another way you could decorate with Ravens (create.craft.love)

Fence off your yard by creating this Halloween Wood Pallet fence (Sew Woodsy)

I love these Floating Witch Hats. Maybe I will create these this year. (Polkadot Chair)

Create a pumpkin arch to greet those trick or treaters (Don Morin)

You can be afraid of spiders when you decorate your house this way. (Apartment Therapy)

Create a crime scene on your porch although it may keep everyone away. lol (What’s Ur Home Story)

Oversized spider web for your porch, side of your house, large wall, wherever! (My Untangled Life)

Ghostly drapery to set the eerie mood. (hgtv.com)

Don’t forget to decorate the large blank canvas that is your garage door! (instructables)

These Yard Monsters are so fun and easy to create! You could put them in the bushes and trees. (a girl and a glue gun)

There you have it!

Which idea was your favorite?

Do you like to go over the top when you decorate for Halloween?

Stay tuned next month for a whole new topic.

MHCT&M: DIY Updated RV Trend

Hey there and happy it’s-almost-the-weekend, friends!

We’ve been spending the week by the pool with friends and eating all the summer fruit we can get our hands on. And with summer comes camping season! And since I prefer RV camping to tent camping, I thought it would be fun to talk about the DIY Updated RV Trend!

These remodeled RVs are so beautiful you could live in them.

Are you a big fan, like myself? I pin all the pretty RV renovations and follow all of the updated RV accounts on Instagram because I just can’t get enough!!

It has inspired me to pretty much gut out our early 90’s RV and start painting everything left in it white! So if you are like me and you love swooning over pretty RVs and campers, you are going to love today’s post, friends!

Check out these beauties… I could quite literally live in any of them.

See what I’m saying… I could happily live in any of these beautiful glampers. If these beauties don’t make you want to camp, I don’t know what will!

And honestly, you can remodel an RV on a pretty small budget to make it look SO much better.

Do you have a camper or RV you’re thinking about renovating?

I hope these ideas inspired you like they did me!

We’ll see you next Friday for more camping tips and inspiration!
