Easy 4 Ingredient Cream Cheese Pie

I LOVE this pie!
It is SO easy and SOOOOO yummy!
It is a pretty much a lighter version of a cheesecake.
We normally make it around the holidays but it is good any time of year or for any occasion.
I made this for Easter this year since I knew my parents were coming to visit and it is one of their favorites as well.

It is a fast recipe to make ahead of time and just leave in your fridge until it is time to serve.
Here is how to make it:
Ingredients:
– 3/4 tsp. Vanilla
– 1/2 cup Confectionary Sugar
– 4 oz of Cream Cheese, sofened
– 8 oz tub of Cool Whip
– Graham Cracker Crust
– Fruit Pie topping or fresh fruit for topping of your choice.
 To Make:
– Blend cream cheese, vanilla, and confectionary sugar together.
– Once blended, fold in Cool Whip.
– Place in graham cracker crust and gently spread out.
– Top with your favorite topping.
– Chill for at least an hour before serving.
ENJOY!!!

Tasty Tuesday- Pizza Casserole Recipe

I have been trying to make some freezer meals before Baby M 2.0 arrives so I pulled this trusty recipe out of my recipe box.

It is an easy recipe, which is always great, and who doesn’t love pizza?

This recipe yields a large amount of food but you could easily cut the recipe in half to make less.
I chose to make the entire recipe since I wanted some to freeze.
Pizza Casserole:
Ingredients:
– 2 lbs of ground beef
– 3/4 cup chopped green pepper
– 2 cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup
– 2 Cans of Tomato Bisque Soup
– 1 8 oz. Can of Pizza Sauce
– 1 cup of Water
– 1 teaspoon of Oregano
– 1/2 teaspoon of Garlic Powder
– 1 box of Rigatoni Noodles
– Parmesan Cheese
– Mozzarella Cheese
– Pepperoni
To Make:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Brown the ground beef along with the chopped green pepper. Drain.
3. As you are browning your meat, cook the whole box of pasta.
4. Combine the Cream of Mushroom Soup, Tomato Bisque Soup, Pizza Sauce, Water, Oregano, and Garlic Powder with the Cooked Ground Beef and Cooked Noodles. Mix well.
5. Spread the mixture into two 9×13 pans (if making the whole recipe) or 1 9×13 pan (if cutting the recipe in half). Sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese to taste.
6. Then sprinkle with Mozzarella Cheese and dot with Pepperoni.

7. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 mins. covered then 15 mins. uncovered.

 ENJOY!!

Slow Cooker Pork Roast: A Fall Progressive Dinner & Giveaway

Welcome!
I have teamed up with lots of other fabulous bloggers to bring you the Fall edition of the Progressive Dinner Party.
The theme for this edition is Comfort Foods… mmmm!
And thanks to our fabulous sponsors, Black Gold Farms, Park and Main, Le Creuset, and Magimix,  you can enter to win a prize pack worth $904
With the weather getting cooler, I LOVE to pull out the slow cooker and make some yummy meals with it and today’s meal is one of our favorites.
Slow Cooker Pork Roast
I just love being able to prepare the meat in the morning, throw it in the slow cooker, and forget about it until dinner time!
Makes things so easy especially as schedules get much busier during the fall season.

Prep time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 6 to 8 hours depending on how you set your slow cooker
Ingredients for Pork Roast:
-Pork Roast
-Garlic Powder
-Onion Powder
-Pepper
-Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
-1 packet of Onion Soup Mix
-Water
-White Onion
Directions:
1. Rinse your pork roast and pat dry with a paper towel.
2. Season with the garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and Lawry’s Salt to your taste. I put a generous amount on the pork and rub it in with my hand.
3. Place meat in slow cooker. If you have a fattier side on your meat, I like to place that side on top so the fat drips down over the meat as it cooks to keep it moist.
4. Cut 1 or 2 slices of your onion and cut into chunks. Place on and around your pork roast in the slow cooker.
5. Mix the onion soup mix with the recommended amount of water and pour over and around the pork roast.
6. Cover and turn on your slow cooker for the amount of time you want it to cook.
I usually cook my roast for 6 hours.
Once your meat is complete, pull it out and it is ready to serve.
Normally it is so tender that it just falls apart as I pull my roast out of the slow cooker so I just continue to pull the rest apart.
Serve with your favorite sides or you can even serve it up on a bun as BBQ.
Whatever you like!
ENJOY!!!

Mint OREO Cookies n’ Cream Shake

Call it a pregnancy craving, but as I was shopping one evening I saw all the different kinds of OREOs and thought how yummy a shake would be using the mint ones.
So I snagged some up and couldn’t wait to get home to make one.
Ingredients:
-Mint OREOs
– 1/4 cup Milk (adding additional if necessary.)
-Vanilla Ice Cream
-Green food coloring (optional)
In a blender, combine the OREOs, milk, and ice cream.
 Blend until smooth.

I used 3 or 4 scoops of ice cream for a single serving shake with 3 OREOs.
I created some for Travis and I and used 6 scoops of ice cream with 6 OREOs.
If you would like to make it green, just add a little food coloring in the blender.
For a little extra, you can even coat your glass with a little bit of chocolate syrup.
And if you want to go all the way, put some whipped cream on top!
It is SUPER yummy and of course so simple and fast to make!
ENJOY!!

Tasty Tuesday: Bacon Cheeseburger Rotini

I’ve been on a real cooking kick lately and Travis is loving it!
I actually made a whole bunch of recipes that I’ve had pinned on Pinterest and they have all been a success!
After one of my shopping trips for ingredients, I noticed a recipe on the back of a pack of Target brand shredded cheese I bought and thought that it looked and sounded pretty good so it got added to my to make list.

Bacon Cheeseburger Rotini
(Sorry for the not so perfect pictures! Trying to cook at night and not so great lighting in the kitchen!)
Here is how to make it:
Ingredients:
-6 slices of Bacon
-1 lb. ground beef
-2 cups water
-1 can (10.75 oz) condensed tomato soup
-1/4 cup ketchup
-2 1/2 cups rotini
-1 cup Ceddar Jack Shredded Cheese

Cook the bacon until crip.
Let drain.
Cook the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain.
Stir in water, soup, ketchup, and rotini noodles and heat to a boil.
Reduce heat and cover. Let simmer for 15 mins. until pasta is tender. Stirring occasionally.
Sprinkle with cheese and bacon.
Let stand 2 mins until cheese is melted.
We ate some garlic bread with it but any other bread would be delicious as well.
ENJOY!!

Reese’s Pieces Peanut Butter Cookies from Sweet Rose Studios

 Hi all!
The fabulous Katie from Sweet Rose Studios is sharing a great cookie recipe with you all today.
Blog Button
Enjoy!
I am on a cookie kick lately. Maybe it’s because I’m still in the honeymoon phase with my new mixer. Maybe I’m in denial that Christmas is coming super quickly and I really shouldn’t be eating so many sweets in preparation. Either way you look at, I’m loving coming up with fun twists to the traditional cookie recipes! Take today’s example: Reese’s Piece Peanut Butter Cookies.
The best part of this cookie? It’s simplicity. Start with this basic peanut butter cookie recipe from Better Homes & Garden:
Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Follow the recipe according to the directions and add a box of these bad boys in before spooning out the batter:
Admire your beautiful face in the shiny new mixing bowl.
And finish by following the baking directions according to the recipe. Easy peasy and totally yummy!
These Reese’s Pieces Peanut Butter cookies are delicious warm, straight from the oven, and served with a tall glass of cold milk. Delicious!
Thanks for sharing Katie!

Tasty Tuesday- Manners meet the Internet

This November A Glimpse Inside will be 3 years old. Crazy!
And over these past few years blogging has changed… A LOT!
People would actually visit your blog and used to comment, a good deal, and many friendships were created. But with the creation of Pinterest, even though it is a fabulously wonderful resource, all things changed.
People RARELY comment anymore and in fact, they rarely visit blogs as well.
I know many other bloggers feel the same way as I do and the fabulous Lara over at Less Cake More Frosting wrote the best post ever about manners on the internet. It is a must read so however you are reading this post, please click this link: Miss Manners meet the Internet and read her post.
Also, share it with your friends or readers through FB and Twitter or however so maybe blogging can go back to the way it used to be and more proper manners will appear on the internet.
