Travis and I headed up to Louisville this past Sunday to our favorite store Tickled Pink and these are the two things I headed home with. I actually bought stuff this time instead of him.
A blue candy bowl.
I have eyed this gorgeous piece of depression glass from the store for months now but I haven’t wanted to spend the money on it-$40. I found this candy bowl for only $4.99 so I decided to snatch it up. I don’t think it is depression glass but I love it all the same.
I then found these embroidery hoops hidden behind some things on the floor. I got six of them for $5. I have seen a couple fun things out in blogland using these so I can’t wait to see what I can come up with… when I finally have the time to make new projects!
I found these two adorable little chairs there as well that I debated on getting. They were only $10 and needed some love but I ended up leaving without them. I keep thinking about them but I just wasn’t sure what to do with them. I would use one in my craft room but we already have extra chairs around the house so I just walked away. Hope I don’t regret it! All well!
So there you have it. Not much but I was just happy that I finally found something to bring home during one of my thrifting outings!
I will be linking up to some of these fabulous parties!

August 21, 2010 at 1:02 amThat glass has beautiful coloring and interesting shape. That you enjoy it is what counts. Keep it for many years and your children or relatives will have a vintage treasure.
I posted a few days ago about vintage glassware I found at a church sale. Now I know it is not as old as I had guessed/hoped, but I still felt good about my find.
